LEAVING HOME FOR THE FIRST TIME
The day came when I had to say goodbye to my friends and family, I couldn't hold back the tears in my eyes, my heart was thorn into million pieces. Seeing my aunties and cousins and my very close friends coming to hug me and saying their goodbyes I burst into tears and cried my eyes out. They were all I have and all that I know, how can I move to another country let alone Canada where not a lot of Papua New Guineans travel to or stayed at. I couldn't believe that I was really leaving home. Before we could board the plane ✈, I saw my granddad walking towards me, he came and hugged me and cried , I never felt this much pain in my heart. I hugged him back and we both cried and said our goodbyes. I was raised by my grandparents, and leaving them behind and moving away was kind of hard to do. After boarding the plane I heard the air hostess's voice through the pa system, giving instructions and I knew this was it, I'm really leaving home. I looked out the window...
